3 of Wands; Linestrider Tarot

*This post contains an ad link.*

Expansion, awareness, and plans for future growth and success are the keys to today's card.
The 3 of wands, like all wands, is an action or fire based energy, and this card specifically relates to planning for the success and growth of your projects, business, etc.

Now is the time to focus on what growth you would like to have, and to keep your eyes open for ways to make that happen. Beneficial opportunities and partnerships could present themselves.
Think of yourself as the stag on the card, always watchful and diligent. Look forward, look around you, keep those big eyes and ears open!

Crystals pictured for focus on this card:
Citrine
Tiger Eye
Green Aventurine
Serpentine
Hawk's Eye

International Faery Day

*This post contains an ad link.*

This afternoon when I took out my phone and tap tap tapped through Instagram to post today's card,
I was happily surprised when I heard that today was actually International Faery Day!
Yay! It's perfect, because it fits right in with Faery Friday.

The card I pulled this morning from the Faery Oracle deck was Irish of the Rainbows.
It's so utterly appropriate.
After the tragedy in Orlando and events in Europe this week, the world seems to be in the midst of a storm.
These things cans weigh heavily on our hearts and minds.
When Iris shows up in a reading, it indicates that the storm may still be raging, but that a respite is in sight.
Going through tempests usually teaches us something important about the things that shelter us,
and the people, places, and experiences we value.

She also promises hope.
Storms do not last forever.
However, storms always return.
If we are wise, we will learn how to better prepare for them and recover.
We also learn patience to ride them out.
Look closely at this card.
Iris holds the promise of hope in the colorful rainbow.
Now, look even closer-

Some shoot for the metaphorical clouds with their arrows to make way for that rainbow to shine down while others huddle and await the peace.

Everyone on this card is in the storm together.
You are never alone.
There is always hope.

Ten of Wands: The Fountain Tarot

When some cards come up, I say "there's a lot going on in the (insert card here)."
But when the 10 of wands comes up it means there is literally a lot going on, and it could be too much.
The figure you see in the Fountain Tarot deck ten of wands is a fairly traditional image of a man working very hard to balance all ten staves while plodding forward, and it's pretty taxing.
All of this hard work will eventually lead to completion and success, but at what cost?
He can't see the much ahead of himself or what he's trying so hard to juggle.
The day to day responsibilities and tasks may be sapping and stagnating creative energies.
Fingers are being worked to the bone and fatigue is setting in as the burdens pile up.
One way to look at the card is to power through, but with extra care to focus on tasks one step at a time. Another way is to look to the lessons of the wands before it and come up with creative solutions to alleviate some of those burdens.
Bring back some balance as you continue to work hard toward completion and success. It might take longer with all those responsibilities and burdens, so allow yourself to reprioritize and empower yourself to say no.

 Crystals pictured for meditation on balance, awareness, and releasing blocked energy;
Scolecite: removes energy blockages
Snowflake Obsidian: balance, centering
Lepidolite: balance, awareness
Ametrine: balance, support, intuition

Singer of the Chalice; Faery Friday Birthday Spread

*This post contains an ad link.*

Today's card is from the Faery Oracle deck, and so is the sample layout.
We'll just go ahead call it Faery Friday.

~The Singer of the Chalice ~

This is a highly spiritual card.
It's that feeling of being in the flow of perfect Love, trust, hope, and patience.
It's that sweet spot where you know the universe has your back and it's all going to be okay.
There's no sweating anything, because you are loved, you love others, and miracles are the norm.

For me, and I say this with an emphasis on for me because all oracle decks have a very personal meaning to the reader rather than a hard and fast definition, this card is somewhat related to the Ace of Cups in the traditional tarot. However, it has a higher vibration than the human emotions associated with cups. This is more of an angelic or Universal Love energy.

The crystals shown are arced for a meditation on patience, love, trust, hope, and peace.

Amber
Green-Blue-Purple Fluorite
Botswana Agate
Amazonite

Quick birthday year-at-a-glance layout

The above photo shows an example of a simple intuitive faery oracle layout for an anonymous pixie on Instagram

~Present position
The Laume
Giving & Receiving
This could indicate the querent is feeling blocked or stagnant in some area at the moment, and could benefit from opening up to the Universal flow of unconditional giving. Letting the flow of abundance move through us is the best way to feel and recognize all that we truly have. Charitable work or volunteering our time and unique skills is another way to be a part of the cosmic dance if money is too tight at the moment.

~Challenges/Obstacles
Master Maker
Having the Master Maker show up in this position could mean that creative blocks and work might be a challenge this year. It can also mean that craftsmanship could suffer. Taking the time to hone skills or even take new classes, maybe explore a new method or technique, could be the way to overcome this block.

~Solution/Possible Outcome

Lys of the Shadows
danced her way upside down here...
She's usually the bringer of light to dark places. She's a comforter to the broken hearted.
She dances in the dark and the moths and other things of the shadows are drawn to her. She doesn't judge them, because she understands them. She knows why it's easier to live in the dark, but she makes it her mission to keep bringing light and drying tears.
When she's upside down though it might mean that she feeling a bit too much like her old self.
The pain points that she identifies with can dim that light.
Remembering what drives her to heal others can be the best cure for her own pain.
Sometimes healing others is part of therapy.
Understanding that our scars may help to keep others from being as deeply wounded if we can see them as lessons instead of burdens.
This ties in with The Laume and the flow of giving.

~Message for the Year
Luathas the Wild

This means it could be a very busy year. Having this card here sort of amplifies everything else.
The pace may feel like it has to be go, go, go! The frenetic energy of Luathas should be harnessed and grounded. It's a great thing for creativity! A time for experimentation. However, looking at the Master Maker challenge card, it could be good idea to temper that energy with a structured class or the tempo of this guy might lead to more frustration or haphazard work habits.
It's always a good idea to ground in nature and make time for a mindfulness or spiritual practice so the "Wild" doesn't spill over into everything.

~As a holistic view of the spread, with a focus on balancing the karmic accounting books,
attention to creativity and workmanship,
and learning from pain to heal others,
it looks like there's definitely still room for spicy. Take time for the sweet moments.~

The Faery Oracle deck is one of my faves.

Even if you're not into oracle decks, and prefer a more structured tarot deck, the deck is worth having just for the absolutely gorgeous illustrations.
It lacks the cheesiness of most faery art, because what else would you expect from the creator of Labryinth and the Dark Crystal?

You can find it fairly easily in your local bookstore
or through this link

You have plenty with the 10 of Cups

*This post contains an ad link.*

Here is seriously one of the most positive, shiny, happy cards in any tarot deck.
This is where happily ever after is.

The 10 in any suit is going to be about completion and the end of a cycle, we're coming back to one numerically.
When it comes to the cups, you're dealing with emotions, dreams, and wishes, & in this case they are happy ones.
The traditional image on the 10 of cups depicts a couple standing together and children dancing around happily. The cups are displayed across the sky in a radiant rainbow, with a house in the distance across a peaceful pastoral landscape. As an animal lover, I'm very partial to Siolo Thompson's interpretation of this card, and these pink lovebirds say everything about the points above.
The 10 of cups is the fairy tale bliss. Marriage, holidays, joy, rewards, abundance, it's all here.

Even the reversal of this card isn't all bad.
If this card shows upside down, it can mean that looks are deceiving.
Think "social media" happy. Don't believe the glossy surface. There's something that needs to be handled that isn't so shiny and happy and may be out of whack with your personal beliefs.
But once this issue is dealt with, or a certain area of life has the attention and realignment it deserves, then the full happiness of the upright meaning is just within reach.

You can email me to book a reading or crystal consult for yourself.

If you're a reader or tarot collector and love this gorgeous interpretation by Siolo Thompson as much as I do,
you can order the Linestrider Tarot deck and see the rest of the beautiful deck.

The stones shown with the card are all heart chakra stones.
For the most part, any stone that resonates with you for a meditation on joy, harmony, and love, is perfect for this card.
Rose Quartz
Rhodolite
Rhodochrosite
Rhodonite
(Especially for reversal of this card, as rhodonite is thought to assist in bringing awareness of one's oversights or missteps without negative judgemental attitudes and instead gentle correction to alignment to one's purpose.)

Queen of Wands; Linestrider Tarot

A great card of the day for building confidence, focus, and motivation, because the Queen of Wands is, well, the queen of getting stuff done! 🔥

She's the mistress of the fire element, of wills, vibrancy, creativity, and lives strongly in her center.

She knows what she wants and what she needs to to do to get it, and how to motivate others with her warmth and vitality.
In her most positive aspects, she is incredibly generous, compassionate, sunny, and loyal.

That being said, I do like the illustration on this particular deck (Linestrider by Siolo Thompson) because the
queen is surrounded by a sort of whispy, dark cloud.
This queen may be the energetic go-getter, but she's also shrouded in some mystery, and likes to wield a bit of magic. The traditional black cat is included here next to her baton and not just at her feet.
Both of their eyes let you know she can show some claws, so you should probably just stay on her good side.
She's sort of the original #GirlBoss ...

When a reversal shows up, it can indicate a misuse of the queen's gregarious nature;
manipulations and domineering actions aren't unheard of for this archetype.

Some helpful focus stones or crystals when meditating on the this card:

Citrine ~ Self-Confidence, Balances Manipura
Sunstone ~ Power, Vitality
Carnelian ~ Creativity
Rose Quartz ~ Compassion, Self-Esteem
Labradorite ~ Intuition, Synchronicity

Well, that's the Queen of Wands from the Linestrider deck.
What does she say to you?

Page of Pentacles; Linestrider Deck

Well, hello sexy lady!
It seems totally fitting that I pulled this card today for several reasons.

Like all pages, this card brings new inspirations, beginnings, or tidings of new things to come, but this one will probably bear some juicy fruit. Earth energy, pentacles, coins, whatever you want to call it, it's about manifesting it into the physical realm.
If you're sitting on a dream, it could be time to make that shiz happen.

Think about how you can sharpen the skills you have, or need learn, to build a new business, hobby,  or all out new venture.
Deck used in today's pull was The Linestrider Tarot by Siolo Thompson.
Some stones for this kind of meditation are pictured & labeled on the image.

Both citrine & green aventurine are great stones for manifesting, attracting luck, and meditating on growth.
Pyrite is also another crystal that is associated with prosperity, but it has the added benefit of grounding and protective energies.
Labradorite is associated with many things, but in this line up, it's here to help bring about synchronicity and that extra boost to manifest a dream into reality.

On the next note, hello and welcome to the Grey Lady Oracle blog!
This is my newest outlet for all of the weird and esoteric specialness that I love so much.
Whether it's the Jungian archetypes and deep collective consciousness/inner knowing of the cards, or how certain crystals and minerals can help us focus on meditative states and intentions to achieve a particular mental and spiritual focus, I've studied and been fascinated by the "woo woo" and the wonders of real neuroplasticity for decades.
I've been posting on Instagram for a bit, but sometimes writing those captions on a teensy phone can be irksome. So, here I am.
Swing by the Instagram to see posts of the cards, and then swing by here for a more detailed description.
I'll figure this blog thing out eventually...
